Aaaahhhh..... I can't believe I forgot to load the March Challenge info before now. Where is my brain? Has anyone seen it out their way. I've totally lost it. I don't think it's even in Wyoming anymore. I've been floating on so many meds lately.... maybe my brain just floated away. !rolling.gif

This month I'm challenging our membership to use your personal touch and media of your choice on boxes. Let's see how many different techniques, media's, themes, elements, and personal views can be put toward creating something wonderful to hold your goodies.

Grab one of the many gift box templates available on the web and create an entire box, stamped up, inked up, painted or whatever. If that doesn't tickle your fancy how about recycling a box you already have at home. Maybe do a little mosaic work in it or collage or paper mach'e? And if you don't want to make one or have one sitting around at home, maybe consider picking up a premade box at the local store and doing up something fabulous on it!

Any size, shape or purpose for your box is fine. Use any medium you want as well. Let your muse go free and see what you can come up with! Add photos of your boxes to the 2007 Monthly challenges gallery album, so we can all see your terrific creativity!

And remember to pick up your next siggy tag too! biggrin.gif

Well if anyone finds Cindys brain its probably out wandering with mine also overly well medicated up, can you send them both packing back to us, puuuuhhhhlease?

I read this challenge b4 and had an idea or two..but having interuptions of "sick" people in the house got me side tracked.

I have a couple of cigar boxes, a cardboard box and a couple more mag holders that need a "dressing up".

I checked here and I didn't see any extra Cindy/Cherpea parts laying around...and I cleaned top to bottom looking for them.. sorry, Gals. I could have used the company too.

I have a number of shoe boxes that I'm using for storage. They are on the "one day" plan to decorate so now I have my motivation...might get caught up on a few others soon first laugh.gif.
As for the missing brain....that's me all the time...so....welcome to my world !rolling.gif hey and that is without meds hmmm dry.gif

Awesome projects girls ... I'm still working on mine and you've all inspired me so.

I've done the March challenge here. This photo is to show how the box "explodes". Lots of fun and an easy to follow free lesson at Beccy's. I've given the link in the gallery. Tried to do it here but for some reason kept closing on me so you'll have to trot over there sorry....but it is worth a look...Beccy has other lessons, some that we have done here and some different ones...she's a friendly lady!
Judyb
Deb, I love your "exploding box"... I checked out that link for the "how to" and she does some really interesting Tuts... with lots of pictures!! I need that since I'm a visual learner.

I think I will give this one a try also..just have to clear up & clean up a few projects first..
Maybe after the end of this month??

Here is one of the boxes I made ... it's a plain matchbox (no striker strip) covered with perfect paper and glitter ... added a bear button with the shank removed and let the perfect paper dry. The inside of the box will be painted blue or pink depending on whom I decide to give this too. The box is to be used as a tooth fairy box ... that way the tooth doesn't get lost under the pillow and the money goes into the box for easy retrieval in the morning.

Tania, I love it!! Perfecto! I haven't heard of "perfect paper". Is that liquid or clay like stuff? I may have to add this stuff to "my stash".
Cindy/Chip
Terrific creation! LOVE it. You are so very talented!

Beautiful little box Tania, I agree with Cindy you have great talent !!

Cool box! Great idea for a tooth fairy box..we have a tooth shapped box that the kids got long ago that they have used over the yrs for the same purpose..much easier than the pillow as they put it on my windowsill in the kitchen. No sneaking in to hide a coin.

Thanks girls ... I enjoyed making this. The perfect paper is a mushy oatmeal like consistancy ... but it must have some kind of binder in it because it dries fairly hard. I've used it on many frames before as well. You can spread it out on a transparency and let it dry for a "sheet" of paper ... but it didn't work well for me ... I prefer to use it to cover items.
