I've been longing to do a shaker box/shadow box. I recently bought some slide mounts and thought I would stack them so that I can enclose some small trinkets or beads to embellish a page or card. Well, my creative eye was thinking 'box' and I discovered another item to use. I recently had to replace a battery and the packaging proved to be very useful. A small, hard plastic, slightly rectangular cover secured the battery to the cardboard. I gently removed the plastic covering from the cardboard and now I have a perfect shaker box. Many items come enclosed in heavy plastic coverings and the plastic can be utilized in all of them to make shaker/shadow boxes. This is a great alternative if the items you which to enclose are a bit bigger than beads or punchies.

Happy Crafting!
