Tania - I loved everything!!! Such a wonderful surprise and such beautiful work. I will definitely get some photos and share with everyone as soon as I find batteries for my camera!
Tania sent me two wonderful clear stamps - a rose and a butterfly. They will be used, believe me! But it was the beautiful things she made for me that are really special:
A wonderful pinecone ornament - not from a pinecone but of a pinecone with folded points of paper all over. I've seen them in magazines and thought about doing one, but this is the first I've seen in person - it is great.
A ribbon wreath - very pretty Christmas colored ribbon tied in knots with very flamboyent ends all around.
And my favorite - my letter "P" (although Eric insists that I'm holding it wrong and it is actually a small "d" for Dennis...) It is collaged with vintage ads, labels and images and highlighted with golden glitter and inspirational words. There's even a wonderful quilled flower - Tania, did you quill it?
It really was a delightful package to open and there is so much thought and talent in the contents! Thanks so much for doing this for me.

I'm so glad you liked it Patty ... I wanted so bad to do a needle punch pin for you ... but alas I just couldn't figure it out in time ... so hey maybe next year.
The letter "P" was very fun to create ... did you notice I put an old vintage October calander page for your anniversary ... I had these tiny old pages and couldn't believe it when I found the October page. The quilled flower was done by me ... and though the collage wasn't really done in the colors you love I was trying to stick with a vintage look. Glad that you like it.
The ornament was easy peasy ... someone here taught us how to make them last year but for the life of me right now I can't remember who. The wreath was something I saw done in a craft magazine and wanted to give it a try ... it was my first attempt ... It would probably be pretty as a candle base as well ... but of course you'd have to be careful for the burning and the ribbon ... so it's probably best to go with the wreath.
I enjoyed this SS swap ... and getting to know you better. Merry Christmas my friend!

Patty, what cool gifts you received from your SS. I like your DH remark about the "P" really being a "d".

Happy Holidays.

Tania I think you got it one when you mentioned about getting to know Patty better. A great way to do it. TFS girls.

Tania - I do love everything. I had noticed the October page - and the 28th was even on a Saturday, like when DH and I were married! And the colors are perfect for our "faux foyer" so it is hanging there. (Our townhouse is small and the front door opens directly into the hallway. There was a coat closet on the right which we never used. Eric broke through the back of the closet and turned it around to make a small pantry for our kitchen - one that was desperately needed! We left the door molding in place and backed it up with plywood, so there's a niche there now. We added a mirror and peg racks so it is now our faux foyer. Holds things like keys, my umbrella, etc. and some art - now including the P! The downstairs of the house isn't quite as vivid as the upstairs! We've got sort of toasty beige walls in the hallway and kitchen, the "dining room" area - our computer room - is pale gray and the living room/great room is dark red.)
I have a feeling if we used the wreath for a candle ring, the cats would have too hard of a time resisiting it and that could be trouble!!!
This was great getting to know each other.
