I'm new here, but certainly not new to crafting. I have been crocheting (mostly) and other crafts for many years. I'm married, have 3 sons, ages 39, 37, and 20 - guess you could say I have been raising kids for almost 40 years. I have 3 granddaughters and a grandson. Until my granddaughters, we had only had boys in our family, so I have enjoyed making frilly things for the girls. Just recently finished making 7 (yes, seven) Spiderman Round Ripple afghans for the grandchildren - mine and my sister's. Also did some flip flops for the girls, and assorted other things. My sister and I are working on crafts now for setting up a booth at a crafts fair over Labor Day.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you and getting ideas and inspiration from you. Happy crafting!!

Hi and welcome to our group ... it sounds like you have a full life of crafting. I'd love to see some pics of your afghans.
My name is Tania and I'm a scrapbooker and cardmaker primarily ... though I dabble in altered art and a few other things whenever something strikes my fancy. I'm the mom of a 19 year old daughter who is the light of my life and I have a wonderful husband as well.
We enjoy having new people join our group here ... so jump right in and don't be shy as everyone here is wonderful.

Hi bjrjames and welcome to this friendly group. I think you'll definitely have to show us your afghans...wow those kids must be thrilled to bit.
I'm from Australia, a 50 year old mum of 2; step-mum of 5; going to be a grandmother at the end of the year and can't wait!
I'm into scrapbooking mostly but like Tania have done a bit of altered art, some cards, patchwork/stitching etc in the past and I teach scrapbooking classes at a special school. (I'm an aide there) also teach some classes at home when I get the time.
Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hello From Canada! My name is Benita and I have kids ages 12 , 14, 18, 20, and the 18 yr old is my only girl.
I have tried my hand at many crafts, crochet being one of them. Now I mostly paper craft, and when I have a little bit of time, its scarce these days, I do some knitting and crcheting.
I teach a scrapbooking class based in my church, called Scraps of Faith and our group is a fun and creative group, much like this online group!
We'd love to see your projects, and hear about your creations.

I'm in Valdosta; used to go to Brunswick often when my brother lived there. And used to go to Jekyll Island often for conferences before I retired. Haven't been since they opened the new bridge, though.
