January Challenge

The challenge for January is to Scrapbook a page of Christmas, or make a project that keeps the history of this last Christmas. A little book, a photo frame, something that will help you remember this last season.

Scrapbook those Christmas memories and post them in the challenge gallery and then collect up some monthly signature tags.

We have had cute little tags in the past at http://www.crafthappy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1670 and we can still add those to our signature when we finish these challenges, or should i make new ones??? What do you think? They arent to hard to make.

I have sorta slacked on the challenges the last few months - sorry about that! I kinda ran out of ideas and then got busy and you know how it goes. I am still happy to work on the challenges, but I prefer to not be in charge of issuing them every month - I run out of ideas! Maybe you and I could share the duty, if you are still interested in having me do it. Let me know

I've committed myself to get some Christmas pages done so sounds like a plan!

I didn't take any Christmas pictures this year ... I don't usually so this will be hard for me. The last time I did something like this was 2006 and I used a small accordian book with 4 pages on each side.

Maybe just some journalling of the day and things leading up to it would be good Tania. Do you find it too busy and forget the camera....like we did last night for New Years Eve?

Nope ... I don't find it too busy and forget the camera ... I just never like the way holiday photos turn out and I have never liked scrapping holidays or birthdays ... I'm more of the vacation pics kind of girl.

Tania, I am exactly the same way! I have a couple of pictures of Christmas Eve, but nothing of Christmas at all - and I am really disappointed. When Sierra was really little, I was good about taking pics and videos while she opened presents, but the last 2 years I haven't taken any! I think in the excitement I just forget . But I am really good at taking pics on vacation .

I do have a few pictures though, so I will try to come up with something! Great challenge!

Fair enough Tania! I must admit my Christmas pics aren't that great either. I do like to take them though but this year we forgot to take the camera on New Years Eve so I'll see what I can come up with

Deb did you get some fun pictures of your granddaughters first Christmas?? .. I took over 100 pictures this season...but thats me..without enough pictures in a week my kids say i get the shakes!..

I picked up some today as a matter of fact Benita! There are some awful ones of me and some beauties of DgD...now to scrap them!

Cool challenge! I've got to agree with others - our holiday pics never seem to come out so great. Nevertheless, I'm on board with the challenge and will give it a go. I haven't added anything in the gallery in so long I may break it when I load something new.

Benita ... can my Sing Page count ... since it was a photo of my daughters Holiday concert that I attended ... I know, I know that may be stretching it ... but you can't blame a girl for trying.

I posted some Christmas pages in the gallery also so I'm also going ot grab a little Jan tag. Who will join us???

I've done four so far and none of them are in traditional Christmas papers or colours. I didn't want to this year. Actually two of them are scraplifts and one is a sketch challenge, the last one just pics on a page to get them on so not too much originality happening but at least I'm getting them done before another Christmas comes! I'll upload soon.

I did it! I actually accomplished one of our challenges. Believe it or not I did a Christmas LO and added it to the gallery! Wahoo - I get to use a challenge stamp in my signature for the first time in FOREVER!

I have completed 4 LO's Wahooo! I will try and upload tomorrow. I am still trying to work out my software on my new PC.

So haw are you all doing wiht the challenge? Tania did you find the little signature stamps? I love the ones there already! Great job!

I have LOTS of photos from Christmas, Benita...I have a mini album started for my mom, maybe I need to finish it!

Congrats to those who are sporting the January challenge stamp in their signature block already. Wahoo! Great projects submitted thus far.
I'm looking forward to seeing the new once expected too! Hope folks will find a little time to create a little something using their December memories!
