April Challenge

The April Challenge is, to be inspired by the Gallery

Choose a project in our gallery and Scrap lift it for the little April siggy tag. Make the project your own version and then when you post it in the challenge gallery, be sure that you link your project to the original project. Have fun looking aobut the gallery for a project that inspires you!

*If you're new about these parts then the monthly signature tags that are at the bottom of my my posts are earned by doing these challenges.

Got a question? just ask!:)

I finally finished my April challenge. I scraplifted Tania's page Luminiere for this challenge. I posted my page in the gallery...its called snowballs

Well I finally got around to doing my April Challenge and I took a little bit different spin on this than others.
Hope you all don't mind.

I wandered through the gallery and picked some scrappy LO's that I really liked. (Well there were sooo many that I liked, but I limited my project this go around to just four. I've got more in holding for future projects though! You all are so talented. I'll never run out of inspiration!)

I used these four LO's as my inspiration for creating layered PSD templates for other digi-scrappers.

Then I packaged them and I'm not getting ready to add them to the CHW Art-Shopette later this week... as freebies in the "Try B4 You Buy" product category. If you are a paper scrapper and you want a copy of these templates for your future projects too, simply enlarge the attached photo and then save it to your computer! biggrin.gif

So after looking at the templates - can you guess which artists inspired me with which LO's they posted in the gallery?

Here's a Tip: I used some of the colors from the original LO's for my template shapes when I created them and I also titled the template products based on something from the scrappers LO's.

Anyone up for the challenge of figuring out where my inspiration came from? I'll post answers later this week if folks don't guess them first. In the mean time, I'm off to update my monthly challenge tags!

Okay, here are my guesses...

Three Wishes- Benita
Loving Tags-DebbieD
Three Together- JudyB
Homegrown Fun- JudyB
Cindy/Chip
Jeanne, you're on a roll. You've got two right!

My "Home Grown" template was inspired from JudyB's "Home Groan" LO

My "Three Together" template was inspired by JudyB's "Brothers" LO

While I found many LO's by both Benita and DebbieD that inspired me, these two other templates were not created based on any of their LO's in the gallery.

Here's another hint: My other two templates were inspired by LO's from one artist.
Cindy/Chip
Since you mentioned our other two scrappy friends....

Here's one inspired by a LO by DebbieD

My Uncles Template was inspired by DebbieD's Uncles LO:

And one inspired by a LO by Benita

My Grand Kids template was inspired by Benita's Grandchildren:

Thank you ladies for your inspiration!

laugh.gif, well I did good...I got half right! tongue.gif The templates look great, Cindy and I am always in need of *ideas*!
Debbie D
Wow Cindy you are one clever chicky and you too Jeanne for guessing so well!
JeanneLee
laugh.gif! Thx. Deb!
Cindy/Chip
Oh Deb, I'm not really all that too clever. These digital template things have been around for a long time. I just enjoy creating them from time to time when I get inspired by crafty folks like yourself and the rest of our CHW family.

And if anyone was curious the other two templates here where inspired by Beachmom3 (Marcie)

My "3 Wishes" template was inspired by Marcie's "Wishes for 2005" LO

And my "Loving Tag" template was inspired by Marcie's "My Three Sons" LO.

Thanks for all the inspiration fellow scrappers!
