This girl is good...I have been married 26 yrs. and have not made bread, but one or two times.
BUT she(Crystal) convinced me I could do this and I did! The family loved it and now I think I won't be buying store bought french bread now!

Today I made some english muffins. I'm sure they will dissappear fast once everyone is home.
find one that we like the best. Does anyone here make them?? I'm trying a few different recipes for them, hoping to find one that we love the most.

Yum these look nice. I haven't tried french breads or muffins but have done bread rolls and loaves years ago by hand, but now I use a bread maker.......should use it more and do the dough but I always think if it to late. Working in a supermarket that makes fresh bread & buns etc makes it to easy just as I am leaving work.

I've never made bread with yeast that ever worked out ... I don't know what I do wrong, but the dough never rises right ... and my breads/rolls etc. end up flat and hard. So ... no homemade breads for me unless they come from a mix that doesn't require the yeast be added by me.

BTW ... Jeanne and Benita ... I wish you both lived closer, I'd pop in for bread making classes.

WHen I was growing up, my mom made all the bread we ate. Once in a while on a holiday we would have bought bread and we all felt like it was a treat. ... because it was different....
