Between now and the end of year I’m hosting a Clip and Create challenge, where everyone who participates gets a chance at winning a crafty stash. As a matter of fact, for every handmade artful item you submit during the contest – you’ll have your name added to the raffle AGAIN – giving you even more opportunity to win.

Currently the goodies in our crafty stash are valued a little over $30. And here’s what’s really cool – I’m adding more crafting tools and toys to the stash as the challenge events continue. This stash of goodies already includes markers, decorative papers, inks and stamps, scrappy goods, buttons, bows, vintage beauties, bling embellishments, and more!

So how do you get your name in the hat for the crafty stash drawing? You simply create any projects of your choice following the instructions for each Clip and Create challenge that’s posted between now and the middle of December when the challenge will come to an end. Our raffle drawing is scheduled for the last week of December, just after the Christmas holiday.

Our first Clip and Create Challenge will post out in just a few minutes!
So grab your scissors and get ready to tickle your muse into action!

It’s time to:

October Quick Fire Clip and Create Challenge:

I’m calling this first one a Quick Fire round, because there’s not much time to get it accomplished.
Never fear though – I’m thinking most anyone can still give it a go and get in the game straight away!

Craft Project Instructions
Create any type of craft project you want and incorporate into it graphics from either the attached FREE clipart print sheet or our new Pumpkin Patch Kids collage sheets. This could be cards, bookmarks, ATC’s, Collage projects, candy toppers, journal pages, tags, scrappy layouts, or any other crafty thing that suits your fancy!

Downloading/Printing Guide
1. To download the freebie clip art sheet, simply click your mouse on the picture. When the photo window opens, right click your mouse over the picture and select the “save as” option that’s available through your browser.
2. Save the graphic file to your computer in a place where you can easily access it.
3. Open the file on your computer and print it using the smallest margin setting your printer will allow. There is a ½” margin all the way around the print page. You can print these designs on regular bond paper, cardstock, or even vellum if you want to.
4. Then clip and create!
-- For our new Pumpkin Patch Kids collage sheets you simply make your purchase in our Art-Shopette, then download the zip file that is in your members area.
-- Unzip the file and then follow the instructions offered in steps 3-4 shown above.
** Optionally, you can open your file in a computer graphics program and change sizes before printing.

Awesome! I hope we get some good participation so folks will have a fair chance at the crafty stash raffle gift.
I created a couple of cards and ATC's using the graphics last night.
Will try to post them up later this week.

Looking forward to seeing other pretties from my artful CHW friends!

My printer is out of color ink at home, but when I go home for lunch, I'm going to grab some cardstock and print this at work (shhh, don't tell!). I will try to come up with something this weekend - cute printable!

I have these printed, and i just need some creating time.

I love your LO and left you a comment in the gallery.

Here's a few cards I made from the graphics in this challenge:

On this one I used water-color crayons to add color

On this one I used a "smeared ink" technique to color the graphic.

Here's a close up so you can see the 'texture' the smeared ink gives it and how adding a few doodle marks offers a bit of character too.

I made a few ATC's for the challenge as well.

I cut apart the row of pumpkins offered on the freebie clip sheet to make ATC's for my little pen-pal granddaughters.
Here's two of them.

Bag-O-Treats..............and............ Haunted House

===================================================

I cut in half one of the graphics from our Pumpkin Patch Kids Collage Sheet and created these two.
BTW - These are available for trade. Let me know if you are interested in trading one of your ATC's for one of these.

Peek A Boo Kids Left and Right

(These are actually the same size. Only look different because of the camera angle)

===================================================

Now this one I created specifically for adding to the Crafty Stash for this challenge game.
So whoever the lucky raffle winner is will get to add this ATC to their collection.

These are all great! I want to join in - but I've got to wait until I've got my PC issues resolved. I've got my mouse hooked up so I'm not dependent on the touch pad and I can print, but with no optical drive, I can't install PhotoShop Elements on this thing!!! Will have to wait until my PC is out of the shop and I've reloaded stuff. So, I might be waiting for November!!!

Oh Cindy ... I love those images you used, unfortunately my computer has fits when I try to unzip files ... it just won't let me. dry.gif

Tania - so sorry to hearing about the zipping issue.
If you are interested in playing along...

The freebie I posted isn't zipped. So you can click on the photo to open it up and download it to your computer to save and print later (like you would anything else)

~OR~

You can simply click on the graphic to open it up and print straight from your screen.

Thank you for the kudos on projects. They were fun to play with.
I hope others will join us in the challenge. I'm thinking Benita needs some competition here!

Great way to use the clipart Jeanne!!
Cindy/Chip
Jeanne, your creations are terrific. They are both so cute... I can't even pick a favorite. Thanks for sharing them with us!

Since you created two projects using the art in our Pumpkin Patch Kids collage set, that's 4 entries into the drawing for you JeanneLee! Wahoo thumbup.gif

Benita - looks like she's going to give you a run for your money.

Anyone else jumping in on this challenge? There's only a couple days left to get your projects in! Deadline is this Friday the 30th.
