Okay, Michele and I were chatting today and both talking about our messy desks and how we need to clean them off.
... so here is my messy desk. I am going to CLEAN it off...anyone care to show me their before and after photos?

OK, so Jeanne knows that over the Christmas holidays I started changing over the spare room into a craft room/ office. My table is covered with soooo manythings that i hope to sort out soon. I work a few minutes here and there all the time, slowly getting there. I have some photos...but I'm off to work now. I'll stop in and share later.

After my big clean up just this past summer, I'm too ashamed to show you all my current mess. But hopefully, most of it is superficial! Just need to get in there!

I haven't been using my room since the family have been here but I have taken a lot of my scrapping stuff down stairs so I could do it with my DIL on the dinning room table so I have had to clean up every time, other wise we'd be all out side eating our meals.
I must say though that for some reason my work table up stairs still got in a mess, through me taking bits and bobs back up there and just dumping it on the table , I had just cleaned it up the morning you put the challenge up so no photo from me this time.

Maybe I should take a photo the next time DIL and I have our stuff spread all over the dinning room table,it is quite a sight, It is nice having her doing scrapping to, she started it with a friend in Auckland just before they moved back here, She's done some lovely pages, she's already saying that when they move into their home we should arrange a regular day to do it, I'd love that.

Maggie, That is awesome she wants to spend time scrapping! Hope you can arrange the time to do it.

Jeanne, Thanks for posting that blog it was very interesting to read, We have done the train trip they speak of and it is a beautiful trip, in the winter it is the most beautiful sight with snow all around, some times almost all the way back the Canterbury plains. The town they spoke of in Auckland called Howick is where our son and DIL lived before they moved back here and it is a nice town. It's a shame the cruise ships miss the top part of the south island, we've have had a few in here but it's not a regular port of call. Your friends would have loved it here.

OK two pictures of what this room looked like..it had a bed in it and lots of stuff from Christmas. We used the room to store gifts and wrap them also, and what a mess it became. By the time I took these photos I had already cleaned the shelving a lot!

So here is pictures of the beginning of the cleaning process. Gregory made me the shelf and i love it for my buttons...and such. My table is still a mess..hopefully soon!

My boys are picking on me cuz I didnt show you that I have some containers along another wall that has stuff to organize yet...but I'm getting there. THose boxes are at least neat.. and are actaully not scrapbooking but craft stuff like yarn and fabric...sewing stuff.

With I have a week off at Easter, maybe I will get some done in there???? Depends on the weather and if I have gardening to do..

I still need to take my pictures! I have been so busy and was out of town for work, and the last two days I've been trying to catch up on my sleep because I didn't get any when I was gone. I have a cookie booth this weekend, but I will try to get my pictures taken in the next couple of days and get them posted. Last weekend, we moved everything around in order to move Sierra's computer into my craft room. It was in her bedroom, but it's always piled with stuff and she can't ever get to it. Now that she's moved to the new school (their focus is technology), she has to use her computer for homework and I was tired of her using mine when hers works just fine! So we got that done, but everything is still a mess.

I'll try to get my pics posted tonight or tomorrow - I'm sorry I haven't gotten to it before now!

I took pics today and i will also try to load them. I got into the craft room today and did a little tidying. I have too much stuff, i think i really need to cull or use - hmmm easter holidays are here i should get to it... culling and creating!

No worries, mine is still messed up up! I just bought a few more items to add to my stash yesterday when DH let me stop in to a stamp store near the area we go for our anniversary getaway! I was just downstairs to clean them up...but alas, I still have a mess!

I hear u about the circle...I am on break and hoped to spend more time cleaning, but my daughter was home a couple days and I had stuff to do for my class, so instead of cleaning it got messier! Today I have a bit of time, but the week is getting short. I've also been fighting with allergies, making me not so productive. However I have done lots of spring cleaning and got my walls and carpets cleaned.
Best get to work.

I'm working on my area today, along with my bedroom. The rooms are beside each other and I have had stuff stored in our bedroom a lot. I need to get the bedroom spring cleaned as I am having so much trouble with allergies this yr. I bought new pillows and I've been washing bedding more often. But digging around in the dusty corners makes me sneeze! . Seriously I am trying to get passed these allergies, as they are starting to get more serious.


PSSST secret: I am going to change the bedroom around today, move the bed and such...my husband hates when I do that, he is such a man of habit, doesnt like much change. I wonder what he will say when he sees the changes...hehe

Oh B dont be like that - i will take a photo of my cupboard. If i open the cupboard everything will fall out for sure. so that is why i have not done so yet.

I hate those allergies too. i never suffered with them till this year... so i am sympathising with you.

to your DH... let me know what he says. i reckon he will say... "Why do you do this???" your answer will be... "Cuz!"

So I took out a lot of stuff, made a bigger mess like you have to do to do the cleaning and then I got a phone call and I had to go into town and leave it like that. I got back long enough to clean up one room....
SOOOO now my mess is worse! ...the bedroom is clean mostly, but not turned around yet...so Gord will not be surprised at bedtime til another day....probably next weekend....

Well Carolyn you have good storage areas then that hide the mess and still look good if somone glances in. I need some of those..

I still haven't posted pics and now my DiL has my camera...phew! thank goodness....it is a shambles out there in that lovely craft room of mine

I've had craft stuff stuck into drawers and onto shelves all over the bedroom. Very disorganized and hard to find stuff. We just moved, and just before we did, DH bought me 2 plastic boxes--one for all my sewing stuff, and the second one a bit larger for all my crochet & knitting stuff. It's all nicely organized now. But, I thought, if the girls on CHW could see how little I have, they'd kick me off the site! But then, I realized that my stash is easily 5x larger than what it was a year ago when we first moved here, so with that growth rate, I probably have you all beat!

I have made a dent in my mess, but it's still a mess . I am working on it little by little - hopefully I can post some clean pics soon!

Here's my space...ironically, the 2 boxes on the stool are *perfectly* organized. (Bottom box is for crochet & knit, etc., top box is for sewing stuff.) It's just the rest of the house that needs help! In my defense, we moved 3 days ago, so things *will* get better. (I hope, I hope, I hope!) But, for now, this is my desk, such as it is.

I sure wish I could get all my craft gear into two boxes like that , I have four boxes like that in my hall cupboard with things like cross stitch, teddybear stuff, fabric for craft and one is full of x stitch pattens and other patterns for craft. then I have a large cupboard in the spare room that has all my stamps, card making and scrapping stuff.
